Fantasy Basketball Picks and Betting Tips for Thursday

Thursday night features five NBA games, including an exciting matchup between the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds in the Western Conference. The Houston Rockets have been on fire in 2025, winning 11 of their last 14 games. Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies are coming off a loss that ended their six-game winning streak, as they host Houston after securing four straight home wins.

Here are some top fantasy options to stream and bets to consider for Thursday:

Fantasy Picks:

Toumani Camara, Portland Trail Blazers (Available in 76.4% of ESPN leagues)
After missing a game last week due to illness, Camara has been exceptional upon his return. In his last four games, he has averaged 14.8 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 1.8 3PG, and 1.0 SPG in 35.8 MPG.

Zach Edey, Memphis Grizzlies (55.1% available)
Edey is having one of the best stretches of his rookie season. Over the past three games, he has posted nearly a double-double with 13.7 PPG, 9.7 RPG, 3.0 BPG, and 1.0 SPG in 23.7 MPG.

Jaden McDaniels, Minnesota Timberwolves (57.6% available)
McDaniels has been filling up the stat sheet in his last 10 games, averaging 14.1 PPG, 7.3 RPG, 1.9 SPG, 1.5 3PG, and 1.3 BPG in 35.2 MPG. His all-around production is particularly valuable in category leagues where defensive stats and 3-pointers are in high demand.

Dre’s Bets for Thursday:

Rockets +5.5 over Grizzlies (-115)
This is the fourth meeting between these teams this season, with the Rockets winning all three of the previous matchups, including two earlier this month. While the Grizzlies have been playing well, the Rockets are on a four-game winning streak and have shown they match up well against Memphis. Even with Alperen Sengun’s (calf) status uncertain, I’ll take the Rockets with the points.

De’Andre Hunter over 17.5 points (-115)
Hunter has averaged 19.1 PPG on the season, and after a slow start to 2025, he has picked it up with 18.2 PPG in his last five games. Atlanta needs more from him with Jalen Johnson out for the season, and Hunter has been particularly effective against Cleveland, averaging 24.5 PPG on 57.1% shooting in two matchups this season.

Toumani Camara over 10.5 points (-115)
Camara has been steadily improving, especially since the end of 2024. He has scored at least 11 points in 11 of his last 15 games, including three of his past four outings. Over this span, he has averaged 14.6 PPG, making him a solid bet to hit the over on 10.5 points.
